First Competition

So this weekend I had my first BBQ competition, a local charity event put on by a local radio station called Buzz BQ. It usually pulls 70-75 teams, and this year was no different.

I was the only person using a drum, and it was a big point of interest, everyone that walked by was curious about a)what the hell it was, and b)just how it works. I didn't get to take many photos since I was competing by myself, but I did get a couple. I even managed to get a 5th place in pork, which I was incredibly happy to find out. The chicken I got killed on because I found out, afterwards of course, that drumsticks are popular in this competition, nobody else was doing trimmed thighs KCBS-style. The ribs I can really only think of a crappy turn-in box, because the taste and tenderness were spot on. I messed around and got bit, I've spent all afternoon at work looking for other competitions to enter, haha.

Oh, and sorry for the pictures being sideways, stupid imageshack.
