Yeah my wifes throwing a babyQ shower. One of her co workers is a vegetarian. I thought it would b cool if I could make her the best bbq she's ever had. Any ideas? I'm gonna mame some jalepeno poppers wrapped in butter soaked potatoe instead of bacon, tonight to see if it works. Then I have a few tofu type ideas. Thanks again

She's the kind that eats dairy. She wanted to eat before she came. But i'm thinking of it as more of a challenge than a burden. I want to see how creative I can get, without buying tofu shaped as ribs and chicken. But I understand where your coming from.

Ok, the potato wrap was too crispy, and chewy. Gonna try a little thicker cut tomorrow. Made some abts as per BP recipe. And they were amazing. Even my wife ate five and she's never ate a jalapeño before/ not a spicy eater. She loves em

If you have a BPS drum. use the high basket setting and do grill pineapple. Tofu is good. Dry it out good and marinate. Grill asparagus is to die for as is cauliflower. BP made a great vegetable dish at the Lancaster tournament that almost stole the thunder from the Berkshire pork he cooked.

Really. Hey BP how about a recipie for that vegetable dish. Havent tried the grilled pinapple. But might b good on top of the tofu. I'll give that a shot. I've had both the asparagas and cauliflower recipies from the BP videos. They r so good. Specially the cauliflower one.

Try some direct, try some indirect then direct. Experiment, experiment, experiment..... :)

Yeah, gave up on the tofu. Its just not that great. I did however, Q'd some peaches that were surprisingly delicious. Went rockfishing and caught some red snapper. Cooked 2 whole on the eds with sweet money rub, also tasty

If the person is anything like my wife who is a vegetarian (dairy/egg = lacto-ovo) she won't consider anything off a grill that has had meat cooked on it or even smells like meat/smoke/bbq/grill. I even have 2 sets of cast iron cookware. Believe me... It SUCKS sometimes. Good luck man. :what::eek:
