I whipped this together in about an hour. Sliced up a donor drum and made a 3 1/4" ring, cut it to size and pop riveted it together, added four 3/16" eye bolts and made 2 hangers from 1/4" steel rod bent 90* on the ends to rest in the eye bolts.
It sets on the top grate holders.
So I put it to work over a Hunsaker Smokers Vortex Firebasket loaded with KBB and Mojobricks for smoke.
Split 5 lb. chicken and a 1.75 lb. Boneless Beef Short rib strip.
About $8 in parts and an hour to assemble. Works to my satisfaction! NOW LET'S GET HACKIN"!
