I think the table looks great, my question is where was it designed to be installed? I know you could put it anywhere, but I'm just curious where the designers think it will be most useful. I'm thinking on right side above the thermometer, so that you can still hang the lid on the left, but I pick up and move my drum to store in the garage after every use, so I would want to install in a place that doesn't block the handles for lifting. Do you think it would still be easy enough to pick up and move with the table attached? If anyone that gets the side table could post a picture installed that would be appreciated.

What you can do, and it's something I might do, is to install a set of brackets on the drum so the shelf wont be permanently affixed to the drum and will attach and come off quickly when needed. I need to be able to use my cover and a permanently installed shelf would require a custom cover.

Im going to be building a new drum in a couple of weeks, as well as "rehabbing" the one Im using now, Im going to replace the actual drum and make a couple of improvements. I am planning on buying a pair of these tables for my drums. I will take photos of these and post them when I do.

I installed mine right on the front - over the shield. Still can see the thermometer, and have ready access to the bottle opener. I'll post a pic when I get the drum painted (this weekend). I will be adding holes/grommets for my Maverick, so the transmitter will sit right on the shelf.

I agree with the cover question: BP - Do you think one of the Memphis or other covers would work on a drum with a shelf? I live in Oregon, so keeping this puppy covered during the 9 out of 12 months per year it rains is essential! ;-)

here is the BPS drum with the second table. I really like this configuration! I found a cheap cover that fits perfectly across both shelves, and all the way to the ground.
