Maverick tip

Clip your probe under the grate facing the middle. Your Maverick placement here will give you a accurate center grate temp and the analog one the outside temp.

This will also give you the whole surface to cook on when using the Maverick.

This only really works if you have an eyelet of some sort, the thing you see by the weber flip grate on the drum is my eyelet to fish out the probe wires. I used a 1/2 inch conduit nipple and conduit nut for the eyelet. Get a cork plug to seal it up after you run your probes through. All this is available at Lowes for less than 3 bucks.
