Brining an enhanced Turkey

I have tried to find a turkey breast that has not been enhanced. No luck. The only ones I have found say enhanced 15% with solution. Is there any benefit to brining an enhanced turkey? What about injecting?

no and brining is as hot point topic...I do not believe that it is worth it. cook it right and you have tender turkey

I don't believe there would be any benefit to brining an enhanced breast. It would likely end up too salty. I do however have a poultry brine that I use regularly. I don't do it to increase moisture or tenderness, only to infuse certain flavors that I can't achieve with rubs alone.

I agree with BP and Shelby.

The only thing I'd add to what BP said is "cook it right and you have tender juicy turkey"

The turkey I just bought says it is "Natural" and that it "may contain up to 6% retained water" It wasn't the local farm I was looking for, but it was relatively local so I went with it. There are so many different ways that they word things on the packages, and some of terms are pretty vague (like natural).

Here is the national chicken council's list of terms on the label.

More interesting was this farms statement about their label and what is on it and what isn't

But back to the original point, I am going to brine my, and hopefully cook it right too.
