Will this barrel work?

Just picked this barrel up from a local vendor. He said the barrel contained an adhesive used for silicone Implants. He said it was a barrel full of boobs lol. my question is... Is this barrel safe for smoking meat? it has no liner and there's a little dirt on the inside. I plan on doing a full burn out And using a smoke daddy kit. If this barrel isn't usuable... I won't risk it. Thanx.

The lid seeems to have a coating that'll need to come off. Other than that, get building!!

What's the best method for a water pan? Is a "14 deep dish pizza pan the right size for an ash catcher? Thanx

I have not used a water pan in my drum yet. I have an 18" pizza pan for an ash catcher. It's just a little bigger dia. than the basket.

No water pan here either. Also a user of a pizza pan as an ash catcher. I just lay it down on the bottom. Nothing fancy. Works like an ash catcher. Interestingly enough, the pizza pan I use as an ash catcher was originally supposed to be my heat diffuser, but I have not needed on of those yet. These drums work as advertised. You can keep it simple and all will be just fine. Good luck!
