Lonely Barrles

Anyone else hear their barrels crying from being lonely lately? These pork and beef prices now days have me maybe firing mine up once a month now. My next cook is not scheduled until the 26th of this month for mine and my better half's 2nd anniversary party. And that menu has been scaled way back to now.

Not good times for meat eaters. I see more poultry in my near future it seems.

Consider the ability to cook low and slow opens up a lot of cheaper cuts that you can make fabulous

Good point. I'll have to start looking in to other stuff than ribs and butts all the time. I would love to find a deal on some beef short ribs and give them a try on the BP EDS .

The Drum is a heck of a chicken cooker. With the vents on the Big Poppa Kit it is easy to get the drum to run at 325. Let me warn you that if you try this you may start thinking of the drum as the perfect chicken cooker. We purchased chicken yesterday to cook on Saturday

Cooked the bird a couple times now. Turns out really well. I like it The first time I did it I was worried about the skin. It came out crispy and real tasty.
