Nice! That's great!
Nice job! I bet the tax man/woman is going to love you this year! I know here if you add vinyl or concrete, be prepared!
Nice set up you got the there. I really like it!
Howdy folks! I'm back in action and glad to be.
I recently bought a new house and moved and switched ISP and came here and changed emails and never verified so I could not post. DOH!!! Thanks to...
It will suck a little air when you try to snuff out your coals maybe but shouldn't be a big deal. Mine is warped a tad and I never had any issues at all.
Here is a place that sells seals and...
answered in the other thread you posted in as well.
If you take a grinder and go around the outside lip of the drum, you will see a seam. once through the seam, you can use a screw driver and hammer and knock the top off easily. and doing so allows...
Actually I have 2 drums. 1 has 3 bolts for grill rack and the other has 4. The one with 3 bolts has no wobble on the grill rack. The one with 4 has wobble. I find with 4 bolts if you dont get them...
The only thing I did to mine was add some red rtv between the intakes and the drum. Sealed up much better. Other than that, I don't think the kit needs any mods what so ever. It is a all around...
Guys have been powder coating drums for a uds for a while and no one has ever reported any issues. I don't see any issues with running a drum 250-350 or a tad higher with powder coating.
That drum and your food looks great!
nice looking bones!
Nice job. that looks good!
I just used a store bought called Strawberrys that I had on hand. I need to do some ordering and order more rubs to use.
welcome to the world of drum smoking/grilling. You certainly picked a great product that's for sure. I love my Big Poppa Drum smoker/grilling machine!
Any time!
And I just got in to my left overs and they are still juicy even warmed up. Made for a good breakfast with a couple eggs and toast.
These had to be the juciest pieces of meat I have ever cooked. I set the drum on 250 and let it ride and man these were great!

A little trick I used on the step bit was to use Blue Dawn dish liquid as a lubricant on the step drill bit. I am sure that stainless is going to be a treat to drill through.
You will love your...
Yeah I'm sure temp was where it needed to be. I normally count on the dial being at least 35-40 degrees off center grate temp. And no Maverick here yet. I started cooking the old fashioned way and...
You can easily tell if they are lined or not. Some liners are a tan looking color while other liners look like a red oxide color.
Most, not all, food grade drums I have saw were lined and it can...
Thanks fro the replies everyone. I will be placing ribs closer to the edge and flipping and turning along with a wrap more often now. I got everything else down pat on the EDS I am sure ribs will...
Thanks for the reply.
I definitely remove the membrane. I actually never considered cooking them meat down. I've always done it bones down. I might have to give that a try as well some time soon.
I like the 2-2-.5 idea. And I do have a real nice diffuser I can use as well if needs be. It is stainless steel. and maybe next time I will try to run them as close to the edges as I can. This last...
Hello folks. it's been a while since my last post.
Still smoking on the BP EDS and loving it. Now on to the issue.
I can cook butts, fatties, MOINKS, country style ribs, etc, etc on my drum...
If you choose the BP EDS, give it a test run once or twice and get your temps dialed in and you can literally sleep while it works.
I ran mine a little while back and had to dash to town for a...
I had a learning curve coming from my leaky UDS to the BP EDS. Now that I got it under control, I use the EDS as often as I can. I got out and light it just to light it sometimes. And the fact that...
