    BBQ truck stops

I stopped at cowboys truck stop in Stillwater, OK on I-35 today to try their q. I had a 2 meat plate for $11 and it came with 2 sides. I got brisket and pulled pork for the meats, and beans and coleslaw for the sides.

I was much less than impressed. Their brisket seemed like it had been steamed. Even though it was sliced paper thin it was dry and tough and the bark was soft.

The pulled pork was alright, average at best.

The sauce was your standard ketchup based sauce. Not a lot of zip and zero heat.

The sides were the best part of the meal. I really enjoyed the beans.

All in all, I will keep on driving next time.

If any of you know about bbq places with truck parking, don't forget to let me know!

Looks like it's north of Tulsa. If I ever get out that way I'll have to check it out.
