Brisket!

Tried my first brisket today.

Got it marinating last night in a beef broth concoction. After which I rubbed it with Spade L Beef rub.

Placed in the smoker with some cherry wood chunks at 250 degrees. Six hours later it reached 170 degrees and I pulled it off the smoker and added some more seasoning and wrapped it in foil with some apple juice. Back on the BPS for another 4 hours before it reached 200.

Smoke a 13 pound packer last weekend. Used a simple rub of SPOG. Smoked at 225-235 till IT of 195. Used some hickory chuncks. Let it rest in foil for about an hour and sliced. brisket4.jpg brisket1.jpg brisket2.jpg brisket3.jpg
