So I just ordered my kit. And will be attempting this project soon. Pretty excited about that. :-)

I know the drum requires a high temp paint and the existing paint needs to come off. How has everyone else painted theirs? I am thinking about cans of spray paint but would think I would need alot of cans for the project.

Curious as to what methods everyone else has used.
Maybe you guys can all post up pictures to show your work.

Thanks guys.

That looks awesome.
Thanks for sharing :-)

I was thinking it would take more cans than that.
Good to know.

I got about one cost per can. So it isn't a crazy amount of paint needed.

Awesome.
Looks like I'm going to attempt to paint it myself.
I will report back with my results.

I chose flat black for ease of touch ups. It's going to get dirty and greasy. Wipe the outside with dish soap, rinse, and touch up if needed.

Best UDS paint job I've seen. That too pretty to get dirty. Did you use a clear coat on the black one as well? Farking fantastic!

UDS, what does the high temp clear do?

UDS, what does the high temp clear do?

Gives it more of a gloss look.

Beautiful paint job Powercat! Is that a high temp paint or just regular spray paint covered with two cans of clear high temp?
