1st Birthday Smoked Pork Shoulder

My daughter's first birthday was last week, so we threw a party with family and friends.....had to do a shoulder!!! These were already big, but after I injected 2 quarts of nectar into each one, they doubled in size!!!! I smoked them with American Oak pellets from a winery (unused). The best part is, I lifted the lid 3 times....one to put the meat on, one to foil, and one to pull the meat off! The BPS drum kept 225-240 for 9 hours no prob!

Turned out great, and even she has been eating the leftovers!

The pink thermometer is great because I don't need to search for it....IT'S TOO VISIBLE in the kitchen!!! :)
