Hi all,
I just ordered a kit and have my drum - not food grade but had soap in it, so no liner and am getting it sand-blasted. The lid has bung holes instead of a plain lid w/ no holes. Anybody have any problems w/ these? I was thinking of putting a pipe chimney in the 2 inch bung hole instead of using the exhaust valve that comes w/ the kit. Any recommendations/ pros/ cons?

Thanks,
Scott

I have two in mine and haven't had a problem with them, they have metal plugs in them.

Smitty, you can buy steel bung plugs from McMaster-Carr for around $2.
