The ribs were a little thin on that end rack is the only thing i can think of. As for the deflector it seemed to work really well i had the thermometerr at the center and there was only a couple of degrees difference from there to the edge.Curious how you got pull back on only a few of the ribs! They look good to me! How did the deflector work?
