Beautiful Smokin' Day in South GA

After 3-4 days of dreary, overcast weather, the sun came out Saturday & temps began climbing toward the 80's. Wife was off early to a meeting, so time to fire up the UDS. On the menu, a slab of St Louis spares, chicken thighs & baked beans.

Used a combo of Wicked Q Sweet Ga Heat & Plowboys Yardbird on the spares. Bandiola Chicken rub on the thighs. Finished off with my homemade sauce. MMMMM.... good.

Looks very nice, can you tell me more about the beans :)

1 22oz can Bush Baked Beans - used Southern BBQ flavor for these.
3-4 strips bacon, cooked & crumbled (I also use rib tip or flap meat sometimes)
1/2 medium onion, 1/2 med bell pepper & 1 jalepeno pepper (optional), diced & sauteed in the bacon grease
1/2 cup brown sugar
1/2 cup ketchup
3 tbs Worcestershire Sauce

Mix all together & place on smoker. I went about 2 hours @ 275 with these. I like to cook them until the tighten up a bit & you get a little glaze on top.
