Hi- I'm Kristen's Papa

Got a great drum smoker from Big Poppa's Smokers for Christmas. Went to the forum and got several helpful ideas for my first effort. Did 2 tri-tips, equal amounts of "Money" and "Double Secret Steak Rub" the night before, let get to room temp. before I started. About an hour at 275 degrees, 140 meat temp, rested for 20 minutes. Did a pound of fresh asparagus with a little olive oil and "Desert Gold" rub for about 15 minutes. Tri-tip was perfect! Asparagus was good also. Welcome K's Dad. Sounds like a great cook to me. But like one infamous person said on this board..."No Pics?...Then it didn't happen !!" :p
I still believe you though...THIS TIME ;)
