Nice!!! Man I wish I could find tri-tips somewhere here in NC. I would really like to cook some!

8fan, If you have a local butcher that you know, you could ask if he(she) will order you in some tri tip. It's the bottom sirloin sub primal. The muscle name is "tensor fasciae latae" . At the local Costco here they have cryopacs of peeled tri-tip in bulk that have 8-10 tri-tips/pack. I buy that way(less expensive) and freeze individually. If your butcher can locate some for you, he will most likely not order one or two, so be prepared to make a bulk purchase. They're well worth it.
